ATDirect049 God's Wrath Psalm 90
Aug 15, 2022 • Justin Marbury
No personification of God (giving the Divine human characteristics in order to explain what He is like and what He does) in Scripture is everywhere. There are so many examples of this literary device (also called anthropomorphism) that God is described as having hands, feet, eyes, fingers, a head, a mouth, and much more. Personification is very helpful for us to understand things about God. That is until we come to something that has not real human equivalent. This is the case with wrath. There is no human version of wrath that is like God's. Because of this, we can easily get the wrath of God wrong.
