Rekindle the Hope

It seems that every day lately there is another sexual harassment or sexual assault scandal taking someone famous down. You might be hard-pressed to think of a truly noble man in a place of significant leadership in our country today. Enter Boaz the Ephrathite(that just means he's from Bethlehem). Ruth 2:1 records that he was, "a worthy man." As the story continues we discover that the word "worthy" falls short in describing the noble character of this wealthy land owner in Judah. Into the desperation of Naomi and Ruth's lives Boaz brings hope and provision. Throughout the interaction between Boaz and Ruth we will find our own hope rekindled as we are reminded that good men and good women still exist under the providential love of a good God.
